Soccer weeks last of successful summer camps
More than 600 students and staff participated in summer sports camps at BBC, a special time of instruction, competition, and growth.
High school boys and girls attended Defender Soccer Camps, and Big Blue Soccer Camp was held for kids through eighth grade. The camps wrapped up in mid-August and ended a successful summer season.
At Defender Soccer Camps, mornings were filled with instruction by BBC's current soccer coaches. The boys were led by Coach John Jackson. Coach Chris Davis led the girls. Even the goal keepers had their own instruction time with Coach John Diven.
Campers were challenged on the field with soccer skills and off the field in their life skills through various chapels. Each day, coaches and counselors shared testimonies from the Bible that impacted the lives of each camper.
Big Blue Soccer day camps were held each morning for students in kindergarten through third-grade; afternoons were geared for fourth through eighth graders. The time included drills to develop soccer skills as well as games for fun competition.
A strong year
Earlier this summer, Defender and Big Blue basketball camps packed campus. They included the return of Amber Jacobs, BBC's new Women's Head Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director.
