Faculty preparing for new academic year

Faculty at BBC&S are preparing for the return of students during a special "prep week," a unique time set aside each year for activities, training, and opportunities for fellowship, worship, and personal growth.

BBC&S faculty and staff serve as teachers and mentors for life, integrating exceptional academic and biblical scholarship with their personal example of Christian leadership.

As mentors, they serve as a living curriculum in a rigorous, spiritually focused environment, supporting students through graduation and beyond. Baptist Bible College & Seminary

A time to prepare
A briefing from BBC&S President Jim Jeffery and a potluck dinner for faculty members and their families will open the week on August 16.

The dinner is followed on Tuesday morning with the traditional time of singing and prayer in Jackson Hall's iconic tower. Faculty will also participate in service projects around campus on Tuesday afternoon.

Special sessions providing valuable skill-building time and necessary information are also planned. Some topics addressed will include the effective use of PowerPoint, tips on improving eLearn sites, and getting the most out of SMART Boards.

Through educating and preparing faculty members, BBC&S works to provide the best possible educational experience to students. Professors and instructors are continually striving to make their classes and delivery more effective.

Outstanding faculty
Taking time to prepare for the coming semester is just one way BBC&S faculty seek to better serve and lead students.

Striving to be more than teachers, professors reach out to students on multiples levels: academically, spiritually, and personally. Small class sizes ensure students have a personal connection with their professors.

Undergraduate and graduate studies begin Monday, August 23. Baptist Bible Seminary fall modules begin Tuesday, August 24.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
