Members of the new BBC worship team RiSE will be traveling throughout the summer to perform in churches, Christian schools, and camps across the country.

Led by BBC Admissions Counselor Geoff Ellsworth, the eight-member group is made up of BBC student musicians and vocalists.

RiSE members will minister to local churches, schools, and camps as they gain hands-on training to be effective in global Christian leadership and represent BBC to the school's friends and supporters.

"We hope to use some of the different languages of music and art to help people realize the presence of God and to respond accordingly, "Ellsworth said. "We will undoubtedly develop relationships of encouragement as a ministry of and for the local church, as well as creating interest in teens about how BBC can assist them in their life and leadership development."

The team's name, RiSE, was inspired by Christ's words in John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease."

Three group members will then spend the summer at Lake Ann Camp in Michigan. They will assist in leading worship, interacting with teens, and building relationships. Five members will be traveling to various camps and churches throughout the summer. A RiSE team will also travel on weekends throughout the fall and winter.

The traveling team's summer itinerary will take them to Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York and New Hampshire.

RiSE team members include:
Lauren Bailey
Aaron Hixson
Sam Mader
Josiah Mantz
Alyssa Maxwell
Kerstin Miller
Matt Szabo
Josh Walton
