Seminar emphasizes spiritually, sexually mature lives

Spiritual and sexual maturity in the Christian's life is the focus of an upcoming weekend seminar hosted by Baptist Bible College's graduate counseling program.

The March 5-6 seminar features Dr. Harry Schaumburg, a veteran counselor, author and speaker. The sessions are 6-10 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The seminar costs $99 and includes pizza on Friday night and free snacks throughout the seminar.

A Look Inside
Dr. Harry Schaumburg, will present his seminar, "Undefiled for Life: How to Live Spiritually and Sexually Mature Lives." Dr. Schaumburg has been ministering to people searching for freedom from sexual sin for over 29 years.

He is the founder and executive director of Stone Gate Resources, a Colorado-based ministry which employs brief intensive counseling to those caught in the bondage of sexual sin. The organization's mission is to "point people away from sexual sin to restored intimacy with God and others." The ministry strives to accomplish Galatians 6:1: "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently."

Dr. Schaumburg has authored two popular books on the issue: "False Intimacy: Understanding the Struggle of Sexual Addiction" and "Undefiled: Redemption From Sexual Sin, Restoration for Broken Relationships."

In the seminar, Dr. Schaumburg will address issues surrounding sexual immorality in the Christian and ministry leader's life such as:

- High Divorce Rates
- Premarital and Extramarital Sex
- Pornography Abuse and Addiction

Counseling Ministries @ BBC
BBC offers a master's degree in Counseling Ministries. The 48-credit-hour program offers online distance learning and summer modules, as well as evening classes on campus. Students can complete the classroom portion of the program in as little as two years.
