'Back to Basics' focus of Day of Prayer
A special time for campus-wide prayer and a unique opportunity for Baptist Bible College & Seminary students, faculty, and staff to have a day-long focus on prayer took place October 27
The theme was "Prayer 101: Back to the Basics." Special workshops throughout the day focused on topics like how to pray, what to pray for, and why prayer is vital.
Members of the BBC&S faculty led devotional time in each of the dorms on Monday evening.
On Tuesday morning, the day officially began at 7 a.m. with "Tower Time at Sunrise" followed by breakfast that was served in the dorms.
Small groups and workshops were held until chapel, which was held at 10:30 a.m. A special time to pray for specific needs was held after lunch.
In the evening, "Rotunda Time" at 10:30 p.m. offered a chance for students to come together to worship and singing.
The Day of Prayer, scheduled each semester, provides a special time of reflection, prayer, and worship.
