BBC opens piano, vocal lessons to community
Quality music instruction and performance opportunities are now available to residents near the Baptist Bible College & Seminary campus.
The Noteworthy School, a ministry of BBC Music Department, will offer private piano and vocal instructions to students of all ages and skill levels beginning this fall.
Two youth choirs will be open to area children in first through eighth grades and local home-schooled students.
Students must register to join the choirs but are not required to take private lessons to be a member.
The first fall session runs from September 7 to December 18. The first spring session is from January 11 to May 14. Interested students must register for lessons and pay a registration fee to reserve a class time.

Instructors are highly qualified and talented musicians who have a deep love of music and a desire to instill a similar love in their students while growing them into better musicians.
Jenean Truax, instructor and director of The Noteworthy School, saw a need for quality music instruction open to students of all ages and from all backgrounds.
BBC has much to offer that other music schools and instructors do not, she said.
"We hold our students to a high standard of personal achievement," Mrs. Truax said. "Our teachers use reliable music methods, supplementing them with interesting music literature. They are dedicated to using the best instruction strategies and continue to explore better ways to teach music. They believe in what they do and they love their students. Teaching for them is not simply a job; it is an investment in someone's life."
