With its distinctive atmosphere and interesting acoustics, the Murphy Memorial Library is an excellent venue. It was refurbished in 2008. The work included restoration of the original floor.

The library was first built as a chapel in 1929. It was designed to resemble a cross and constructed to glorify God in both function and design. Latin inscriptions that adorn the library are translated "Praise the Lord."
