President's Golf Classic set to push event fundraising past $600,000

Friends of Baptist Bible College & Seminary will once again support students through a special golf outing, with the total raised over five years set to exceed $600,000.

The 2009 event will be held Monday, May 18, at Glen Oak Country Club in Waverly, PA. Several dozen golfers are expected to participate. They join with business sponsors in raising dollars for student scholarships.

The 18-hole captain-mate format for 2009 replaces the marathon-style golf play featured in the first four years of the event. More than $500,000 was raised for students in those first four years. BBC&S cuts the cost of tuition by several thousand dollars each year through such fundraising efforts.

A President's Breakfast at BBC&S precedes the golf event. After golf, a special celebratory dinner and awards will be featured.
