-- Encourage students to think through a biblically informed approach to counseling effectively in times of crises.
-- Inform students about various practical ways of effectively responding to the crises present by counselees.
-- Challenge students to develop a vision for crises intervention opportunities that looks beyond simply applying band-aids to envisioning how God desires to use such challenging events to call, grow, and deepen relations with Him.
This seminar will explore the varieties of crisis situations presented to counselors and explore the fundamentals of responding effectively. Participants will consider biblical perspectives on crises, applications of God's Word to life's traumas, and the power of faith to reframe, resolve, and redeem crisis moments.
