Performance groups preparing for annual tour
Instead of a relaxing time at home, some Baptist Bible College students will be hitting the road during spring break.
Members of BBC's two vocal performance groups use the time each year as a special opportunity to sing and minister in churches around the country. Members make a unique sacrifice by giving up their personal time over the break to participate in the tours.
This year, members of Concert Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Larry Kauffman , and Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. David Harris, will travel to churches in 10 different states.
The 36-member Concert Chorale will travel March 13- 23 through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, New Jersey, and Maryland. One day of the tour is set aside for a visit to Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
The Chamber Singers will tour in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Ohio. The 16 members will be on the road March 13-22 and will enjoy a day off in Chicago.

The Concert Chorale keeps busy during the year with performances on campus at Christmas, Bible and Missions Conferences, chapel, and the Spring Music Festival. Participation is open by audition to all BBC students.
The Chamber Singers travel throughout the year performing in churches, schools, and other venues. The group has also traveled to the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Ireland.
Both groups' repertoires include many musical styles, but they specialize in sacred music.
