Men's Retreat
Reclaiming Manhood
In our society, "manliness" is often favored over biblical virtues such as compassion and purity. In the three main sessions and the workshops that surround them, we desire to inspire you through the message of God's Word on manhood in the areas of faith, sex, and witness. Our hope and prayer is to send you away, not guilty but encouraged, filled with hope and a little ammo to go with it. Men, it's time to man up! It's time to reclaim our God given responsibility to Biblical manhood.

Pat NemmersPat Nemmers is the lead pastor at Saylorville Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born in 1958 and grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, in a devout Roman Catholic home. While working in the factory at John Deere Tractor Manufacturer, he heard the gospel and shortly thereafter trusted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Sensing God’s call to preach, he attended Faith Baptist Bible College where he received a B.A. in Pastoral Studies. He pastored the Holmes Baptist Church in Clarion, Iowa, for 12 years, where many souls were saved and a new building was constructed. He then accepted the call to Saylorville Baptist Church in 1998, where they continue to experience tremendous growth and expansion of ministries.

Pat and his wife Marilyn have 10 children and 4 grandchildren.
