Since he arrived in 2001, Dwight Peterson has been serving in many roles at Baptist Bible College. Dwight's goal is to disciple students whether he is teaching in the youth pastoral program, coaching basketball or golf, or hanging out with the guys in the dorm, where he serves as a Resident Director.
For the past several years, Dwight has been directing the TLC Youth Workers Conference. Prior to coming to BBC, Dwight served as a youth pastor for 19 years. Dwight is the author of OnTrack Devotions, a monthly student devotional designed to build the skill and discipline of effective daily Bible study. OnTrack subscriptions number over 2000 per month. He also serves as Director of the Wilderness Institute for Leadership Development, a ministry of Pilgrimage Educational Resources, and as a founding board member of Koinonia Ministries. Dwight and his wife, Bonnie, have 4 children: Kristin and her husband Josh, Abigail and her husband Isaac, Joseph and his wife Nicole, and Luke and 6 grandchildren: Cole, Maggie, Sadie, Gracie, James, and Lia Kay.
