Urban Ministry Master of Arts Degree

The Urban Ministry concentration, a special partnership between Crossroads Bible College and BBC&S, trains Christians to take leadership roles in urban settings.

You will be equipped with the necessary tools to forge alliances, manage with confidence, inspire a shared vision, conduct research, and develop biblical solutions to contemporary urban challenges, tackling spiritual, social, and moral poverty for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Building an ability to motivate and mobilize community members and organizations, you will develop skills in:

  • Applying Christ-honoring principles to solve urban problems.

  • Analyzing organizational structures to illustrate effective management.

  • Evaluating data to ensure mission objectives are being accomplished.

  • Formulating new relationships among organizations to create optimal solutions.

  • Demonstrating the ability to organize and control an organization.

  • Understanding various urban issues.

  • Developing a Christian worldview.

    The flexible 30-credit Master of Arts program is divided into two main parts – required and elective areas.

    There are two required core areas: Bible, Theology & Interpretation, and Communications. You must select four courses in the Bible, Theology & Interpretation area and one course in Communications. Course listings for all sessions are online.
