The Master of Arts program will prepare you for any ministry God lays on your heart. It includes classes or an earned degree you can get easily from your home or office. It is perfect for many lay people and ministry professionals looking to grow.

Classes are offered in an entirely online format in convenient eight-week sessions. Degrees can be earned in two years or less. You can complete work at your home, office, or anywhere else.

Your schedule

  • Eight-week terms start each August, October, January, March, and May.
  • Spend an estimated half-hour a day of online time per course, plus offline assignment time.
  • Take two years or less to complete your degree.
  • Online courses can be mixed with experience, on-campus, and other BBGS distance learning options to complete your degree.

The 30-credit Master of Arts program is divided into two main parts – required and elective areas.

Required courses
You will take at least five courses, totaling 15 credit hours, from the required core. Areas of study are Bible, Theology, Interpretation, and Communications. You will take one class from each of the four areas. A fifth course can be chosen from the Bible, Theology, or Interpretation group.

Elective courses
Elective areas of study complement the core of required courses. A total of 15 elective credit hours in required.

Elective transfer opportunities
Elective credits may be transferred from other accredited graduate programs and recognized training programs.

Students in the ABWE/Missions track and Organizational Leadership track can earn 15 elective credits from studies taken through ABWE educational programs and Pilgrimage Educational Resources.
