Choosing a Concentration
At Baptist Bible Graduate School, choosing a concentration in your master’s program lets you tailor your academic experiences to meet your specific goals.

The 30 credit-hour Master of Science in Christian School Education degree prepares you to grow your ministry and teaching career.

All classes are offered in a unique summer-module format. Some are also available in a distance-learning format. Courses are scheduled on a rotating basis. This allows you to earn your degree in as little as three summers.

Music Education Concentration

You will grow personally while enriching your musical and teaching skills. The program will also enable you to develop and communicate a curriculum that advances spiritual, academic, and artistic standards.

Completion will equip you to emphasize spiritual and artistic growth. You will also learn the latest in teaching practices and methodology. A comprehensive project over the last half of your studies will tie together your learning experiences.

Meeting a Need
A genuine love for music and the ability to translate that love into effective classroom instruction is paramount for today’s music teachers.

In the Music Education concentration, you will be equipped with pedagogical skills while taking your own musical abilities to the next level.

After the Tassel
When you graduate from Baptist Bible Graduate School, you will be better equipped to communicate music theory and history to students on various age levels.

Because the program emphasizes theory and research skills, you will graduate with the basis for pursuing post-graduate studies. On a practical level, you will develop your own performance skills, understand the philosophy of music education from a biblical worldview and incorporate your knowledge of choral and instrumental literature into your classroom teaching.

Real People
“I definitely feel much more prepared to teach because of the courses at Baptist Bible Graduate School, especially the ones in my concentration. They aided both my philosophical views on education and the practical side of things. The professors at BBGS are so incredibly willing to go out of their way to help a student learn and grow. That is something I couldn't find at other graduate schools.”
- Abigail Calin, BBGS Class of 2009

“The program has definitely met my expectations, both academically and spiritually. I have a renewed passion for my own spiritual walk with God, a renewed passion for teaching my subject matter, and a renewed love for my students as I minister to them on a daily basis.”
- Wendy Carl, Choral Music Teacher at Timothy Christian School, Piscataway, New Jersey
