At Baptist Bible College, choosing a concentration in your master’s program lets you tailor your academic experiences to meet your specific goals.

The 30 credit-hour Master of Education degree prepares you to grow your ministry and teaching career.

All classes are offered in a unique summer-module format. Some are also available in a distance-learning format. Courses are scheduled on a rotating basis. This allows you to earn your degree in as little as three summers.

Health, Physical Education, and Sport Concentration

You will gain knowledge and skills to build a more effective health, physical education, and team-sport experience for your students.

Completion will enable you to emphasize spiritual health, as well as physical health. You will also be equipped with the latest in coaching practices and methodology. A comprehensive project over the last half of your studies will tie together your learning experiences.

Meeting a Need
Studies show nearly half of U.S. children are considered overweight or obese, proving an emphasis on health and physical education is a vital component in today’s classrooms. Men and women who can communicate truths and motivate students to put these into practice are in high demand.

After the Tassel
When you graduate from Baptist Bible College, you will be better equipped to develop age-appropriate curriculum in your classrooms. You will also solidify a biblical basis for the importance of teaching health and coaching a sport.

Because the program emphasizes theory and research skills, you will graduate with the basis for pursuing post-graduate studies. On a practical level, you know how to care for common athletic injuries and asses various levels of your students’ learning experiences – from both their cognitive and physical skills to their social and emotional behaviors.

Real People
“I’m hoping to go teach at the college level one day, so this degree will have opened the door a lot to more opportunities in my future. I graduated with an undergraduate degree from Baptist Bible College, so I was familiar with the graduate school and knew it was a good program. Now that I’m here, the spiritual atmosphere is the one thing I appreciate most.”
- Dan Robertson, Physical Education Teacher at Central Fellowship Christian School, Bonaire, Georgia

“My four summers of grad school were life changing. They changed the way I teach, the way I think, and who I am. The classes I took were of great help to me professionally. I especially enjoyed the fact that they were practical to what I what I was doing and will continue to do at Davis College. Learning new teaching and coaching methods, along with the details of curriculum design and development, were especially helpful.”
- Debbie Bate, Adjunct Instructor and Women's Basketball Coach at Davis College in Greene, New York.
