Choosing a Concentration
At Baptist Bible Graduate School, choosing a concentration in your master’s program lets you tailor your academic experiences to meet your specific goals.

The 30 credit-hour Master of Science in Christian School Education degree prepares you to grow your ministry and teaching career.

All classes are offered in a unique summer-module format. Some are also available in a distance-learning format. Courses are scheduled on a rotating basis. This allows you to earn your degree in as little as three summers.

School Counseling Concentration

You will take proven counseling methods and practically apply them in your school, whether you’re helping those with learning disabilities or preparing students to make wise decisions for their future. You will be equipped to better apply biblical views to students’ educational needs and goals.

You will also be equipped with the most effective contemporary methods. A comprehensive project over the last half of your studies will tie together your learning experiences.

Meeting a Need
While opportunities abound for today’s students, it takes a skilled person to help them make wise choices that will place them on the best path for their future.

As a student in the School Counseling concentration, you will enhance those skills and gain qualifications for counseling students in an educational setting.

Core Courses
This concentration includes a biblical and academic base.

  • Appraisal & Testing in Counseling
  • Biblical Philosophy of Counseling
  • Career Counseling
  • Ethnicity, Families & Counseling
  • Introduction to Learning Disabilities
  • School Counseling Programs: Model, Development & Management
  • School Counseling: Theory, Practice & Issues

After the Tassel
When you graduate from Baptist Bible Graduate School, you will be better equipped to provide your students with sound guidance. You will also solidify a biblical basis for the importance of spiritual counseling and educational planning.

Because the program emphasizes theory and research skills, you will graduate with the basis for pursuing post-graduate studies. On a practical level, you’ll have the credentials needed to succeed in school counseling and gain skills to communicate well and develop relationships with your students.
