Joel Surface and Ken Floyd
Joel is a married college student preparing for youth ministry. Joel's wife, Laura, is one of the photographers for the Golf-a-thon and she works in the President's Office. Joel and Laura and their three children live in Clarks Summit and Joel is golfing in his third Golf-a-thon.
Ken serves on the Board of Trustees at BBC&S. Ken is the State Representative of the Michigan Regular Baptist Fellowship.
Mike Pagliuso and Bill Rogers
Mike (BBC alum) serves on the BBC&S Board of Trustees and is Vice President of Sign Spec in Medford, NJ, where he lives with his wife Daryl and their daughters. Bill is a Sales Executive with Rohm and Haas. He and his wife Shana and their four children reside in Southampton, New Jersey. Bill and Mike are both first-time golfers in the Golf-a-thon.
Steve Adams and Mike Show
Steve is a BBC&S trustee and is President of the Retail Development Group in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he lives with his wife Heidi and their children. This is the third Golf-a-thon Steve has participated in. Mike is the Mens Basketball Coach at BBC, and he teaches Health & Physical Education classes. His ministry at BBC is characterized by a strong passion for mentoring young men. Mike lives in Clarks Summit with his wife Val and their children, and he is golfing in his third Golf-a-thon.
Mark Fitch and Josh Epstein
Mark (BBC alum) serves on the pastoral staff at Parker Hill Community Church and lives in Clarks Summit with his wife Nanette (BBC alum) and their children. Josh is an alum of BBC and is married to Richelle who graduated in 1997. They have 4 children and have lived in Clarks Summit for about 6 years. Josh was a golf professional for about 5 years and is now a Financial Planner for the Independence Planning Group (IPG) in Clarks Summit. This is the first year for Mark and Josh to play in the Golf-a-thon.
SFC Jeffery Hopkins and MSG John Durocher
Jeff is the Military Science 1 Instructor for the Royal Warrior ROTC Battalion. He has served in the Infantry for 16 years. He is married to Tarah and has two sons. John is the Senior Military Science Instructor for the Battalion. He has served in the Field Artillery for 17 years. He is married to Kanoe and has one son. This is the first year they are with us and desire to demonstrate their commitment to our students by helping them financially afford their edcuation.
MAJ James Clancy
Jimmy is the incoming Assistant Professor of Military Science for the Royal Warrior Battalion and is stationed at the University of Scranton. He is a Field Artillery Officer and has served in the Army for 10 years. Jimmy is playing in his first BBC Golf-a-thon . They are joining us to demonstrate their commitment to us and our aspiring Army Chaplains and soldiers who desire to serve God and Country while enjoying the educational benefits offerred by the Army and Pennsylvania National Guard.
Chaplain MAJ Dave Pendleton and Bill Park
Dave is an Air Force Chaplain Reserve Recruiter stationed at at Robbins Air Force Base, Georgia. He has served in the Air Force for 26 years. This is the first Golf-a-thon Dave has participated in and is with us to help us better understand how the Air Force can help meet the education financial needs of our aspiring Air Force Chaplains. Bill Park served as pastor of High Point Baptist Chapel in Geigertown, PA, for 35 years prior to retirement a few years ago. Since that time, he has been active in various missions efforts and continues a full schedule of traveling and teaching the Bible. Bill serves as a BBC&S Trustee and lives in Birdsboro, PA, with his wife Betty Jean. This is Bill's 3rd year participating in the Golf-a-thon.
Paul Golden and Lee Kliewer
Paul (BBC alum) is the Director of Admissions at Baptist Bible Seminary. He lives in Clarks Summit with his wife Marbeth and their two children. Lee (BBC&BBS alum) is the Seminary Registrar. Lee and his wife Colleen (BBC alum) live in Waverly, PA. This is the 3rd Golf-a-thon that Paul and Lee have played in.
Bruce Hartley and Scott Hartley
Scott is the Director of Research and Development Programs for Armor Holdings (Aerospace and Defense Group) and is playing in his 3rd Golf-a-thon. Bruce is the Global Purchasing Director for Sanofi Pasteur and is golfing in his first Golf-a-thon with his son Scott.
Jim Lytle and Mark Montgomery
Jim (BBC alum) is the Vice President for Academics at the College. Mark Montgomery (BBC alum) pastors First Baptist Church in DuBois, PA, and his son is a student at BBC. This is Jim and Mark's first year to participate in the Golf-a-thon.
Mark Webb and Greg Desiderio
Mark is a BBC alum and is golfing in his 2nd Golf-a-thon. He lives in Wyckoff, NJ, with his wife Doreen, (BBC alum), and their children, and is the Executive Director at Tullett Liberty Securities. Greg is a new golfer from Midland Park, NJ, and is a friend of Mark's. He is also the Vice-Principal of Indian Hills High School in Oakland, NJ.
Gary and Kathy Compton
Gary and Kathy are BBC alum and have served in several capacities in the 31 years they've been at BBC&S. 2007 will be the third Golf-a-thon they participate in. Gary is the Director of Print and Mail Services at BBC&S and Kathy is the Assistant to the President.
Dean Falavolito and Bill Falavolito
Dean and Bill are participating in their second Golf-a-thon this year. Dean is an Attorney with Burns, White, & Hickton in Pittsburgh, and is a BBC alum. Bill is Dean's father - they enjoy the opportunity to play as a father/son team and help BBC students with scholarship dollars. Dean is on the BBC&S Foundation Board.
Jim Jeffery and John Parschauer
Jim Jeffery is the President of BBC&S. John is an opthamologist with a practice in Ohio, he and his wife are good friends of the Jeffery's. Jim & John played together in previous Golf-a-thon's and place a high priority on raising scholarship money for BBC&S students through this event.
Bob Allen and Jon Konzelman
Bob is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at BBC&S and has played in previous Golf-a-thon's. Jon graduated with a degree in Physical Education & Health from BBC, and is an Assistant Basketball Coach at the college. Bob is Jon's grandfather - they enjoy the opportunity to play as a team while helping BBC students.
Jim Huckaby and Don McCall
Jim is the BBC&S Vice President for Alumni and Summer Ministries, and Don (BBC alum), is an Associate Professor and Chair of Pastoral Ministries at the college. Jim & Don are designated as the Alumni Team in this year's Golf-a-thon. Alumni are encouraged to contribute toward scholarships for current students of alumni. Over $5,000 was designated to alumni student scholarships from the efforts of the Alumni Council and Jim & Don as they played in the 2006 Golf-a-thon.
Nick Miller and Glenn Marienski
Nick is a BBC alum, living in Franklin Lakes, NJ, with his wife Heidi (also a BBC alum) and their children. This is Nick's third Golf-a-thon appearance, he is the president of Millenium Homes Building and Design in NJ. Caddy/Playing Partner Glenn Murienski is also from NJ and is Nick's brother-in-law. This is Glenn's first time to play in the Golf-a-thon, he is co-owner of Command Company, a heavy construction company in South Jersey.
Steve Clark and Rob Hammaker
Steve and Rob have been close friends for many years. Rob is a BBC alum and Assistant Pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit. Steve is a Senior Accountant with Verizon and lives in Mechanicsburg, PA, with his wife Beth (BBC alum).
Mark Robbins and Andy Hatfield
Mark is the interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement and has served in several capacities at BBC&S. Mark and his wife Elaine live in Indianapolis, IN, with their three daughters.
Ron Phelps and Hal Cross
This is the second year Ron & Hal have participated in a BBC Golf-a-thon. Hal is the Vice President for Business and Finance at BBC&S and Ron is the President of Guide One Insurance located in Binghamton, NY.
Tom and Kris Benefiel from Toledo, Ohio
2007 will be Tom and Kris's 3rd year participating in the BBC Golf-a-thon. Tom is on the BBC&S Board of Trustees and is on the pastoral team at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. Kris is Tom's son.
Mark Steckiel and Donn Hauser
Mark and his wife Janis (both BBC alums) reside in Clarks Summit with their 3 children. Mark is the BBC&S Director of Church Relations and is golfing in his third Golf-a-thon.
