Golf-a-thon
2006 - Student Testimonies
“To have received this gift of money has truly meant
a great deal. I have been blessed with a wonderful job this
semester, but to be completely honest, this scholarship really
grabbed my heart. I am extremely grateful for the work and
effort you have put into the Golf-a-thon. The time spent putting
the event together has proved itself worthy. God has once again
astounded me with His gracious providing. I am thankful for
your generosity and concern for the students here at BBC&S.”
Cassie
Setter, a senior in the Pre-Counseling program from Eastpointe,

“I am extremely grateful to have received the Golf-a-thon
scholarship! I have spent a lot of time praying this year,
and it’s amazing to see God answering in this manner.
I’m extremely excited to see where God will lead me and
in what capacity I will be able to serve Him! Thank you for
your generosity and love for the Lord and college students.
It has been an awesome encouragement to me!”
Stacie Grafton,
a sophomore in the Health & Physical Education
(K-12) program from Valparaiso, IN
“I was so overwhelmed when receiving my scholarship.
I am eternally grateful for how you have allowed God to use
you to bless me. Receiving the Golf-a-thon scholarship is such
an encouragement to me. Anytime I start to doubt that I am
supposed to be at BBC, God gives me a special reminder of His
sovereignty. He does answer prayer, and He does provide.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done—I will continue
to study here at BBC and serve in His name. May God bless you!
Many thanks.”
Julia Kreider, a freshman in the Communication
Ministries: Drama program from Liberty, KY

have received the Golf-a-thon Scholarship. I am eager to learn
what God has planned for me in the future. This award has been
an enormous encouragement to me to remember that the Lord answers
prayer. Thank you for your generosity.”

“I am so thankful to have received the Golf-a-thon College
Alumni Scholarship. This scholarship is one of the ways I see
the hand of God in my life. God is so good and always provides
my needs. I am excited to see what God has in store for my
future. Thank you for your generosity and your part in the
Lord’s work!”
Amy Pausley, a sophomore in the Office
Professionals program from Des Moines, IA
“I am grateful for the Golf-a-thon College Alumni Scholarship
that I received. This award has allowed me to see God’s
faithfulness and that amazes me in so many ways. I am excited
and encouraged to see how God is going to use me in the future.
May God bless you and your generosity.”
Megan Davies,
a freshman in the Elementary Education program from Tabernacle,
NJ
“Thank you for your generosity and encouragement by
giving me the Golf-a-thon College Alumni Scholarship. It has
been a blessing watching God provide for every one of my needs.
God is good and gracious! So, thank you for allowing God to
use you in my life in this way to allow me the opportunity
to continue to learn and grow at Baptist Bible College.”
Matthew
Dodd, a sophomore in the Youth Pastoral program from Port Clinton,
OH
“It was such a tremendous help to me to receive a scholarship from the Golf-a-thon. My parents are missionaries in Portugal, and they can’t really afford to help me with my college bill. I will be graduating this year and would like to go back to the mission field some day. This award will help me get back there more quickly since I won’t have to work as much to pay off my school bill. My future goals are to work in a church office or Christian school, and eventually serve on a global mission field. My ministry at BBC this year is singing in the BBC Concert Chorale. We
travel to churches on some weekends and go on a week-long spring
tour to minister in different parts of the country.”
Rachelle Rust is in her second year in the Office Professionals program.
“Receiving an award from the Golf-a-thon is one way the Lord is supplying what I need to live out His plan for my life. Without help like this, it would be impossible to attend college and meet the needs of my family. I’m looking forward to serving God with my family in global youth ministry.”
Joel Surface, a sophomore in the Youth Ministries program, is a married student with three children.
“Toward the end of my freshman year I was discouraged with working so much and yet still facing the possibility of not being able to come back to BBC next fall because of my school bill. When I received the award, it was a huge encouragement to me and an affirmation from God that this is where He wants me! After I graduate, I want to serve God by working with teens in camp ministries.”
Elizabeth Francis is a sophomore in the Youth Ministry/Camping programs.
