WHO WE ARE
Baptist Bible College & Seminary is a fully-accredited, faith-centered educational institution.
Our primary purpose is preparing students for Christian ministry careers. We are committed to fulfilling our mission of providing students with excellence in biblical education for effectiveness in ministry leadership.
The first classes were held in 1932 in Johnson City, NY. The college remained there for 36 years.
A growing student population created the need to find another campus. In 1968, Pennsylvania Governor William Scranton and other civic leaders helped locate the current Clarks Summit, PA, campus for the school.
Baptist Bible Seminary began classes in 1972. Baptist Bible Graduate School started in 1989.
WHY BBC&S?
Rich history.
For more than 75 years, we have trained students for ministry leadership. That commitment continues today.
Meaningful relationships.
Students form lifelong friendships. Eighty-six percent of undergraduate students live on campus in one of 12 suite-style residence halls.
Fulfilling involvement.
Students can get involved in music, theater, campus events, clubs, intramurals, residence hall leadership, government, and BBC Defenders Athletics. Intercollegiate teams compete in NCAA Division III.
Community-reaching ministry.
Students serve and lead in over 60 churches, parachurch ministries and local organizations, gaining hands-on experience.
Excellent academics.
Students choose from 38 programs in the College, Graduate School, and Seminary. Undergraduates earn the equivalent of a double major over four years of coursework. An increasing number of courses are offered through online and other distance-learning options.
Global impact.
Over 200 students are involved in global ministries each summer. Opportunities are unlimited.
Successful graduates.
Alumni lead Bible colleges, seminaries, camps, churches, missions organizations, schools, and other ministries. At BBC&S, students join a network of success.
Helpful financial aid.
More than 95% of students receive assistance in paying for college. We make your education affordable.
Beautiful location.
Our campus is only a few hours from New York City and Philadelphia and a few minutes from ski resorts and state parks, so students find plenty to do off-campus as well.

Economic Impact
Our economic impact in the community is estimated at $42.6 million a year. We generated nearly $19 million in revenue during the 2006-2007 school year and conducted business with about 300 vendors in Pennsylvania alone.
Our students spend about $1 million each year locally.
We provide $6.2 million in salaries to about 150 full-time employees annually, generating over $62,000 for local government wage taxes. About half of our employees own homes, paying more than $200,000 a year in property taxes.
