Don was born in Grand Rapids, MI, and has four children: Patricia, Rebecca, Carolyn and Don lll (DJ). Don has been married to Nancy for 6 years after losing his first wife, Sandi, to cancer in 2002. Before joining the BBC team, he served as Director of Development for Beacon Hill at Eastgate (Michigan Christian Home) and has served on many nonprofit boards. He has chaired capital/building campaigns at Northland Baptist Church and North Park Baptist both in Grand Rapids. Don enjoys the outdoors, including fishing, and being with Nancy.

A native of Ohio, Tom served at South Church in Lansing, MI, as Deacon Chairman, adult teacher, and overseer of an organized emergency response ministry. Prior to Lansing and South, he and his wife Laura lived in Grand Rapids, where Tom served as Deacon Chair and Missions Chair at Northland Baptist Church. With more than 25 years of business experience, Tom has served in numerous business development and strategic planning roles. More than 11 years most recently have been devoted to work in financial services. Tom and Laura have three grown children in Grand Rapids, Oregon, and Texas.

Lisa was born in Moline, IL, but spent her childhood years in St. Louis, MO; Edina, MN; and Franklin Lakes, NJ. She has been serving in the Development office since 1994. Both Lisa and her husband Rich are BBC graduates. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. She is active with Leadership Lackawanna and the Greater Scranton Women’s Network, and enjoys reading, the beach, and spending time with her family.

Janet was born in Red Oak, IA. She and her husband, Cary, have one son, Sean. Having worked in both secular and Christian settings over the years, she highly values the Christian atmosphere at BBC&S. She is involved in the Adult Bible Fellowship at Heritage Baptist Church. She enjoys reading and crafts, but her greatest joy is visiting her two granddaughters, son, and daughter-in-law in Illinois. She has been serving at BBC since 2003.

Karen was born and raised in northern New Jersey. She and her husband, David, moved to Susquehanna County, PA, in 1987. It was here she came to know and accept the Lord as her Savior. Karen and David have six children: Sarah, Susan, David, Emily, Rachel, and Abigail. They are also blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Mia and Nico. Karen joined the Foundation in March 2010 after 20 years of homeschooling and then cyber-schooling her children. She enjoys her a part-time job as a scrapbook consultant as well as photography, quilting, reading, grooming dogs, and designing websites.

Melissa has been at BBC&S since 2008. She has worked as secretary and receptionist for the Communications Department and also with Institutional Advancement. She and her husband, Jon, have two children; Chase, Zackary, and Trayton. She enjoys working with the children’s program, heading up the ladies ministry, and singing on the worship team at Berean Church in Scranton, PA.
