Don Patten
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
Don was born in Grand Rapids, MI, and has four children: Patricia, Rebecca, Carolyn and Don lll (DJ). Don has been married to Nancy for 6 years after losing his first wife, Sandi, to cancer in 2002. Before joining the BBC team, he served as Director of Development for Beacon Hill at Eastgate (Michigan Christian Home) and has served on many nonprofit boards. He has chaired capital/building campaigns at Northland Baptist Church and North Park Baptist both in Grand Rapids. Don enjoys the outdoors, including fishing, and being with Nancy.

Tom Bevan
Executive Director BBC&S Foundation
A native of Ohio, Tom served at South Church in Lansing, MI, as Deacon Chairman, adult teacher, and overseer of an organized emergency response ministry. Prior to Lansing and South, he and his wife Laura lived in Grand Rapids, where Tom served as Deacon Chair and Missions Chair at Northland Baptist Church. With more than 25 years of business experience, Tom has served in numerous business development and strategic planning roles. More than 11 years most recently have been devoted to work in financial services. Tom and Laura have three grown children in Grand Rapids, Oregon, and Texas.

Bryan Baxter
Regional Director of Development
Bryan grew up in Tulsa, OK. He attended Oklahoma State University and later worked as a full-time tennis teaching professional and manager of a tennis and fitness club. He moved to Pennsylvania in 2007 to pursue his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and then moved back to Oklahoma with his wife Lindsay. He returned to BBC in 2012 in hopes of encouraging the next generation of students to pursue a solid Bible education and to become grounded in their faith.

Lisa Konzelman
Director of Annual Fund & Special Events
Lisa was born in Moline, IL, but spent her childhood years in St. Louis, MO; Edina, MN; and Franklin Lakes, NJ. She has been serving in the Development office since 1994. Both Lisa and her husband Rich are BBC graduates. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. She is active with Leadership Lackawanna and the Greater Scranton Women’s Network, and enjoys reading, the beach, and spending time with her family.

Doreen Howard
Operations Manager
Doreen came to BBC in 2012 offering her valuable experience in human resources, accounting and payroll to the Institutional Advancement team. She is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and loves spending time with her husband Kevin, and their children Joseph and Damian. She also enjoys photography, basketball, and golf. Doreen is a graduate of Keystone College where she played basketball and softball. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame there for both sports in 2007.

Jaycee Hancock
Coordinator of Investor and Donor Relations
Jaycee is originally from Batavia, NY.  She currently livds in Clarks Summit with her husband Corey.  She is a 2013 graduate of BBC’s Business Administration program as well as the two-year (A.A) Office Professionals program. She enjoys working with financial details and being a part of the process that helps students meet financial needs. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, volleyball, playing the piano, and cooking.

Melissa Feldman
Grant Writer
Melissa has been at BBC&S since 2008. She has worked as secretary and receptionist for the Communications Department and also with Institutional Advancement. She and her husband, Jon, have three children; Chase, Zackary, and Trayton. She enjoys working with the children’s program, heading up the ladies ministry, and singing on the worship team at Berean Church in Scranton, PA.
