About the Council
The second Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics met in September 2009 on the campus of Baptist Bible Seminary. The theme was “A Dispensational Understanding of the New Covenant.”
Eight papers were presented with an allotted time of 30 minutes followed by an hour of discussion among the participants. Seven of the papers were devoted to the theme of the conference. A ninth presentation by Dr. Elliott Johnson of Dallas Theological Seminary was also given. His presentation on the New Covenant was part of the Barndollar Lecture Series held in conjunction with the Council.
The Council was moderated by Dr. Mike Stallard, Dean of Baptist Bible Seminary.

Barndollar Lecture Series
Although the overall topic for the series was “Hermeneutics in the 21st Century,” the last session, coinciding with the Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics, was entitled “The New Covenant: Is it Ratified or Inaugurated?”
