Baptist Bible - Connected

And Then They Came for MeAnd Then They Came for Me

Opening night of Baptist Bible College’s fall play, And Then They Came for Me, will feature a forum discussion with a Holocaust survivor and a kosher reception.

The multimedia production combines videotaped interviews of Holocaust survivors with a cast of live actors recreating scenes from their lives during World War II.

Seven performances will be held from October 25 through November 6 at the Phelps Student Center at BBC.

Playwright James Still incorporates oral history, dramatic action, direct address and remembrance to retell the story of survivors Ed Silverberg and Eva Schloss. Ed was Anne Frank’s first boyfriend, and she wrote about him in the beginning of her now-famous diary. Eva was the same age as Anne and lived in the same apartment building in Amsterdam.

Area schools are invited to two free educational matinee performances. Any Holocaust survivors who wish to attend will be given four complementary VIP tickets.

The BBC Box Office will be open Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets will be available Monday, October 8.
