Anniversary Year
Special DVD marks 75th anniversary
The people and events that have shaped Baptist Bible College & Seminary through the years are featured in a new commemorative DVD.
Carrying the title “Changed Lives," the special disc includes powerful interviews with more than two dozen people, an exclusive slide show covering the decades, and a special message from President Jim Jeffery.
The disc is a must-have for anyone who holds BBC&S close to their heart. It can be pre-ordered online or picked up at the Campus Bookstore when they arrive in June.

Athletics
New conference, new name
Defender Athletics will compete in the Colonial States Athletic Conference beginning in the fall. This is the new name taken by the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, which BBC is moving to from the North Eastern Athletic Conference. BBC joins regional rivals Marywood University and Keystone College in the conference.

Graduation
BBC&S ready for 76th commencement
More than 200 Baptist Bible College & Seminary students are set to receive diplomas at this year's commencement ceremony. The event will be held on campus May 9 in the Phelps Student Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Institutional Advancement
Golf-a-thon set to raise money for students
Friends of Baptist Bible College & Seminary will support students and enjoy over 100 holes of golf at the fourth annual Golf-a-thon. The event will be held Thursday, May 15 at Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock, PA. Nearly 40 golfers are already set to participate in this year's event. The fundraising goal is $100,000.

Seminary
Colleagues celebrate Dr. Bixby's service to BBC&S
Dr. Howard Bixby was honored at several events held to commemorate his 22 years of service at Baptist Bible College & Seminary. Among the activities where faculty, friends, and staff recognized his service were special chapels at the College and Seminary and a staff reception in Jackson Hall. He shares his reflections here.

BBC&S visits Chicago and Milwaukee, more events planned
Alumni and friends of Baptist Bible College & Seminary reconnected with the school at special events near Chicago and Milwaukee earlier in April, the third and fourth visits in a growing series of regional gatherings. The BBC&S Friends & Alumni events are designed to reunite alumni and friends of the school and enable visitors to share in the vision of BBC&S.

Murphy Memorial Library
McClain honored for four decades
Former Library Director David McClain marked 40 years of service to Baptist Bible College & Seminary last month. Colleagues and friends celebrated the occasion with an event in his honor. Mr. McClain began working in the library on April 1, 1968, about one week after the purchase of the Clarks Summit campus. He has been the Library Director for more than 30 years.

Graduate School
King to direct new Grad School program
Dr. James King has been named Director of the Master of Biblical Ministries program at Baptist Bible Graduate School. A veteran educator and a primary force in developing distance education at Baptist Bible Seminary, his responsibilities include developing the course structure and selecting teachers.

Submit your photo to alumni@bbc.edu. All pictures placed online will be entered in a photo contest. Winning photos will be chosen before the Homecoming Banquet in October. First place pays $150; second-place, $100; third-place, $50.

Whom you should know
Paula Best has joined the Institutional Research team. Her husband, Dr. John Best, is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at BBC.
Ken Morris has been named Director of Safety, Security & Residence Hall Facilities. He is a retired local police officer.
Jonathan Strayer will become the Director of Student Activities and Resident Director of Ridley Hall. Jonathan and his wife, Rachel, have created and manage their own drama ministry.
Benjamin Schuit has joined the Office of Student Financial Services as Loan Coordinator. He previously worked at Prudential Financial in Moosic, PA. |

Faculty Update
Col. Don Holdridge will serve this summer as the 2nd Regimental Chaplain for ROTC Cadets training at Ft. Lewis Washington. He has also been selected to be the command chaplain for the brand new 200th Military Police Command at Ft. Meade, MD. He can be reached at dholdridge@bbc.edu or 570.585.9263.
