Kempton Athletic Center
Connected PhotoRoof, masonry among latest items done
The changing face of campus continues with exciting progress on the $4.5 million Kempton Athletic Center. The most recent work includes the addition of the roof, set to be done by mid-September. Masonry crews are also working on completing the cinder block foundation around the perimeter.

Connected photoTargeted times enable students to focus on future major
A special set of campus visit days this year focus on specific undergraduate programs, giving future students an in-depth look at their field of interest. Visits give students a full view of BBC and allow them to be a part of campus and connect early with key faculty, staff, and other students. The first visit event – iView College Days – is this week.

Connected PhotoSpecial regional event, golf classic this month
Building relationships among alumni and connecting with new friends is the focus of a special "West Michigan Blitz" in the Grand Rapids area. This two day event combines the President's Golf Classic on September 17 and a Saturday Regional Event the next day.

Connected PhotoIllusionist, comedy group part of unique week
“Celebration on the Summit,” set for October 4-9, will feature Christian illusionist Harris III and 321 Improv Comedy. This exciting weeklong event includes Alumni Day, Homecoming & Family Day, the annual Bible Conference, and more.

Best-selling fiction writer Beverly Lewis, an award-winning author of more than 80 books for children, youth, and adults, will be at the Campus Bookstore September 17 at 7 p.m.  She will be promoting her new book, "The Thorn."

Connected PhotoBarndollar Lectureship, Council this month
Author, researcher, and teacher Dr. Thomas Ice is the featured speaker for the 17th Barndollar Lectureship September 20-23. The event coincides with the third annual Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics held Sept 22-23. The focus this year is "Dispensationalism, Language, and Scripture.”

Connected PhotoNoteworthy School offering piano, vocal lessons
Quality instruction and performance opportunities for area residents will be offered by The Noteworthy School, the second year of the Music Department's unique community education program. Private piano and vocal instructions are available to students of all ages and skill levels beginning September 6.

Community Appreciation
Connected PhotoPresident's Breakfast set for October 19
Area business and community leaders are invited to a President’s Breakfast, a special event featuring President Jim Jeffery and new Assistant Athletic Director and Women's Basketball Coach Amber Jacobs. The breakfast is held on Community Appreciation Day, a time when classes are cancelled to enable a range of local service projects.
