PRIOR LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Your significant life experience, prior coursework, and test results can be used toward earning a degree at
Baptist Bible College & Seminary.
We can evaluate your unique circumstances and determine how much can translate into credits. The particular items we consider are transfer credits, testing credits, and an assessment of prior learning.
Please review the following details. Should you have questions after reading, please contact the Registrar’s Office at 570.585.9216 or registrar@bbc.edu.
Transfer Credits
Applicants who have completed courses at an accredited college or university may receive transfer credit for courses which apply to one of the BBC&S programs and which reflect a grade of “C-” or above. Credits from non-accredited schools must be validated.
Testing Credits
Tests you have taken or may take can give you college credits toward a degree. Here are some standard ones considered:
We follow the guidelines recommended by the American Council on Education for the acceptance of CLEP exams for credit (typically a minimum score of 50). Credit is given for the corresponding course or an elective if we do not offer a corresponding course. For more information about CLEP click here. Score reports should be sent to Admissions at the time of application or when the test has been completed. Our CLEP code is 2036.
We follow the guidelines recommended by the American Council on Education for acceptance of AP for credit. A minimum score of 3 is required for acceptance. Credit is given for the corresponding course or an elective if BBC does not offer a corresponding course. For more information about AP click here. Score reports should be sent to Admissions at the time of application or when the test has been completed. Our AP code is 2036.
