TLC set to train heroes for God

Being a hero for God -- an ordinary individual who believes in an extraordinary God -- is the theme of this year's Teen Leadership Conference on the campus of Baptist Bible College & Seminary.

In its 40th year, TLC is a week-long event set to train student leaders of local church youth groups to influence their church and community for Christ. Over the decades, God has used the conference to change the hearts of both teens and their youth workers, giving them a ministry mindset along with knowledge and skills that will enhance their ministries.

This year's conferences will take place from July 21-26 and from July 28-August 2. Featured speakers include Dwight Peterson, Don Jackson, Mel Walker, Mike Show, Andy Giessman, and Dr. Jim Lytle.

The preaching and other events at TLC have had a vast impact on the lives of countless teens and youth workers who have attended. Both students and youth workers will be attending various workshops. Workshop topics range from Bible study, purity, and evangelism to speaking encouragement and the Christian's place in the arts.

Last year's conferences drew nearly 900 high school students from around the country.
