Entry, directional signs added on campus

There's a new look in front of Baptist Bible Seminary -- a sharp brick structure carrying the name of the school.

The new sign, along with directional markers added on the Baptist Bible College campus, are a small part of a larger master plan for campus improvements.

Planned campus improvements include a 70,000 square-foot expansion of the Phelps Student Center, more athletics facilities, and a music building addition.

The brick sign in front of Baptist Bible Seminary matches the Stowell Seminary Building and carries a design similar to the main entrance signs to Baptist Bible College.

Matching brick came from Belden Brick in Canton, OH. The limestone base was brought from Tomassetti Stone Co. in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The red slate roof was shipped from Fair Haven, VT.

The sign was built by Paolucci Masonry Inc. in Clarks Summit, PA. BBC&S staffers Andy Harkleroad, David Peterson, and Terry Stadnick contributed other labor to the effort. Lettering was done by Fastsigns of Dickson City, PA.

The new directional signs on campus carry the BBC&S corporate blue and white colors and logo. Three are for drivers, directing them to various buildings and departments. A fourth sign is for pedestrians walking next to Jackson Hall, the largest campus building.

Howard Industries in Fairview, PA made the directional signs. BBC&S staffers Jeremy Berrus, Andy Harkleroad, Ken Morris, and Tim VanDalen dug holes, poured concrete, and set the signs.
