BBC&S Welcomes a New Vice President

Jim LytleBaptist Bible College & Seminary is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Lytle to the Administrative team. Jim Lytle is the new Vice President of College & Graduate School Academics.

Jim has a long history with BBC&S. He graduated from the college in `77 and from the Seminary in `81 and `84. Jim also received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 1980, Jim began teaching at the College in the Bible Department. He also served as the Dean of Men and the director of the Teen Leadership Conference. His wife, Diane, is a BBC and BBGS alumna and was the Resident Director of Barndollar Hall for four years.

Jim and Diane have been serving on the mission field in Durban, South Africa, for the past 14 years. They returned to the States last month and moved to Clarks Summit earlier this month.

Jim’s responsibilities involve equipping the faculty to better serve the students. He says: “In essence, this is a facilitation position. My job is to make the faculty more effective. It is a fundamental element of accomplishing the mission of the school.”

Because of his experience on the mission field and his past involvement with BBC, Jim believes that relationships are key to education. “It is important to me that the students view their professors as something more than just teachers; they are mentors. They don’t just dispense information. They prepare students for life.”
