BBC&S Helps Flood Victims
In a joint effort with Asera Care Hospice, Baptist Bible College & Seminary began collecting food in early July for distribution to flood victims in Susquehanna County, PA. Carol Burti, the volunteer coordinator for Asera Care, contacted the College and asked if it would be interested in partnering with the Hospice. The College readily agreed and began to collect many types of non-perishable items to aid suffering flood victims.
College faculty and staff were actively involved in amassing a considerable amount of canned goods and other non-perishable food items. The food was picked up for distribution in Susquehanna County on July 18.
BBC&S has a standing relationship with Asera Care Hospice; each year, Carol Burti visits the College to recruit volunteers at the school's Ministry Fair, an annual event held to involve students in various ministry and volunteer opportunities.
