Professor Sherry Wise has been a part of BBC’s faculty for 17 years, during which she has dedicated her time to cultivating the skills of future elementary school teachers. One of the highlights of her school year is “Reading Is Fun Day,” which is held in Bronx, NY. “Through dramatization, our students bring the stories to life. It is an event that allows me the privilege of leading a team of students and giving them the opportunity to be lights in a disadvantaged place.”

When asked to give a description of herself, Mrs. Wise replied, “Energetic, creative, and nurturing.” Her favorite hobbies include reading, shopping, and traveling. One of Mrs. Wise’s most enjoyable destinations is the ocean: “The ocean is just so relaxing, refreshing, and rejuvenating!”

Mrs. Wise and her husband Lee have three daughters, two of whom are married, and four grandchildren.
