LAUNCH week provides foundation for life

Helping young people answer some of life's big questions while gaining leadership skills is the focus of a powerful week-long summer event at BBC.

BBC&SLAUNCH, formerly known as Boot Camp for Junior Highers, is a special time for seventh and eighth graders to build a foundation for continued growth and maturity.

The week-long event is July 14-18 for students and youth workers. Get details and register online to attend at www.bbc.edu/launch.

Focusing on growth
Spiritual growth takes place as students gain from general sessions, personal devotional times, small group meetings, and meeting new friends.

Each day of the week focuses on a different issues, guiding students to answer four big questions facing them:

-How do I know God loves me?
-How do I know I'm saved?
-What do I do when I sin?
-Can I make a difference?

Led by youth ministry veteran Dwight Peterson of BBC, students are given the tools they need to become leaders in their churches and schools, building a foundation for a lifetime of service.

"I loved that everyone was so nice and kind and welcoming -- and that the counselors got to know you," said Brooke Snyder of Altoona, PA, who attended in 2013. "I learned more here in one day than I did at a camp I went to for two years. My favorite part was having the counselors get to know me and be able to talk to them."

More on Campus
More than 3,000 people annually attend camps and conferences at BBC&S.

Information on all summer events and conferences, including Teen Leadership Conference, five Defender and Big Blue sports camps, LYFE Women's Conference, Men's Conference, and Volunteers Week, are online at www.bbc.edu/events.
