Sports camps set to grow skills, character

Five weeks of sports camps are set for this summer at BBC, special opportunities for students to develop spiritual character as they gain skills in basketball and soccer.

Defender sports camps and Big Blue day camps give young athletes focused attention to improve athletic abilities in their sport. Defender residence camps allow students from grades 9 through 12 to spend a week living on campus. Big Blue camps teach sport fundamentals to local children through eighth grade.

Students in both camps receive sound instruction and spiritual training. Time spent learning with veteran coaches and dedicated college athletes makes an impact as players take part in athletics throughout the year.

"Defender sports camps elevate an athlete's skill and leadership potential," said BBC Director of Athletics Mike Show. "Athletes influence. Leaders influence. We want students to get influenced here so they can influence others."
