College Music Groups to Tour the Country

With the spring semester in full swing, Baptist Bible College's music groups—the Concert Chorale, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Singers—will be touring around the country.

The Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. David Harris, travel performing concerts in churches, schools, and other venues. In addition to a yearly schedule on the BBC campus and throughout the United States, the Chamber Singers have traveled and ministered in the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Jamaica. The Concert Chorale, an extension of BBC's Department of Music, performs for churches and Christian schools during annual concert tours. The Chorale also maintains a busy schedule on the BBC campus, performing each year in the Christmas Concert, Bible and Missions Conferences, chapel, and the Spring Music Festival.

Participation in the Chorale is open by audition to all BBC students, and the forty-five members are pastoral and missions students, aspiring teachers and counselors, music majors, and athletes. Dr. Larry Kauffman, Professor of Music, directs the Chorale. For specific tour information, click here.

The Baptist Bible College Wind Ensemble was organized in 1996 as the foundational instrumental group of BBC's Department of Music. The Wind Ensemble maintains an active concert schedule ministering in churches and Christian schools and performing on campus and at concert venues around the state.

The Wind Ensemble's church and Christian school presentation includes hymn-tune-based compositions, audience participation, and student testimonies. Dr. Gordon Mason, Professor of Music and Chair of the Music Department, directs the Ensemble. For specific tour information, click here.
