After serving as a youth pastor, a Christian education pastor, and an adjunct professor at Practical Bible College (now Davis College), Bill Higley felt the Lord leading him into a full-time teaching ministry here at BBC. In addition to teaching in the Global Ministries Division, Mr. Higley has been the head softball coach for the past five years.

One of Mr. Higley's biblical role models is the Old Testament prophet Nehemiah. "Nehemiah exemplifies everything that a spiritual leader should be. He was motivated by his love for God, wise in his dealings with others, a master strategist, and ultimately his leadership was about the spiritual condition of the people he led," he explained.

Mr. Higley met his wife Susan here at BBC when they were both undergraduate students, and they will be celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary this coming May. Some of Mr. Higleyís hobbies include umpiring for Little League baseball games and reading. He is also an avid NASCAR fan, and his all-time favorite driver is Lake Speed, a Christian, retired racecar driver who drove the Spam car.
