In her twentieth year of teaching at BBC, Sherrie Holloway is a well-known and loved person around campus. As a Health & Physical Education professor and the head coach of the women's basketball team, she has had the opportunity to build deep relationships with students and encourage their spiritual growth. In addition to her responsibilities at BBC, Coach Holloway teaches a women's Sunday school class and participates in the music ministry of her church.

Another ministry that Coach Holloway enjoys being a part of is speaking at women's retreats and conferences across the country. She has also taken her basketball teams on eight different mission trips. "It's been my pleasure to take athletes and help them step outside their comfort zone and connect ministry with the sport they enjoy. I've watched as God opens doors for them to share what's most important in their lives–all because they play with an orange ball," she explained.

During the summer months, Coach Holloway serves as the director of Lady Defender Basketball Camp, the assistant director of LYFE, and a workshop speaker at Teen Leadership Conference. Her favorite Bible passage is Psalm 62:5-8. She shared that this passage is important to her because, Life has a tendency to get so stressful with trying to get things accomplished, and those accomplishments can begin to define us, but there is only one place I can find rest, safety, and who I am in God Himself.
