The book is divided into two parts: the theology and the methodology of biblical counseling. It includes 28 chapters along with an introduction and conclusion by Viars and Kellemen.

Contributed chapters include case studies and discussions that illustrate how biblical counseling can bring healing to those struggling with different issues. Topics range from the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the role of small groups in counseling to caring for those who are suffering.

Through the voices of ministry leaders and experienced counselors, the book offers a model for biblical counseling that explains:

-The sufficiency of the Bible for answering all issues.

-Leading those who are struggling to hope and strength in Christ.
