New resource book for pastors has deep BBC&S roots

A new book providing important ministry instruction for pastors and pastoral students features nearly two-dozen contributions from BBC&S faculty, alumni, and trustees, providing a quality resource for leaders.

BBC&S"The Pastor: A Guide for God's Faithful Servant" offers practical information and guidance on life and effective ministry. Nineteen of the chapters included were written by distinguished alumni, faculty, and members of the BBC&S Board of Trustees.

A list of chapter topics and authors, as well as online sales of the book, are available online at www.rbpstore.org.

Practical Instruction
The book offers applicable instruction on topics surrounding life in the ministry and many issues pastors encounter. Chapters are arranged in four categories:

- Personal Priorities
- Core Responsibilities
- Primary Competencies
- Special Situations.

Areas discussed range from family and marriage to church planting and pastoral internships. The 32 chapters are authored by veteran pastors and ministry leaders with vital experience, providing valuable insights for those involved in pastoral ministry.

Global Christian Leaders
BBC&S faculty, alumni, and trustees influence and mentor through publications and education tools, passing on the knowledge they have gained through their years of experience. They strive to play a continued role in ministry development, strengthening and equipping pastors for excellence in biblical leadership.

The book is edited by Dr. Jim Vogel, a BBC&S trustee and State Representative of the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches.

With subject matter that ventures deeper than most pastoral reference books, this text is a valuable tool for those who want to make a fresh impression on the world.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
