About The Tempest
Considered by some the last play William Shakespeare wrote alone, "The Tempest" was written between 1610 and 1611.

The story surrounds Prospero, once the Duke of Milan, and his daughter Miranda. The two were set adrift and left to die at sea by Prospero's usurping brother, Antonio, when Miranda was very young. His daughter now an adult, Prospero seeks to gain back his stolen rights and title for Miranda's sake.

Using magic and a tempestuous storm, he causes the ship carrying Antonio and a party of travelers to become shipwrecked near the island where he and Miranda have been stranded. Treachery, magic, romance, and redemption ensue as Prospero seeks restoration and Miranda finds love.
