Spring Concert series set for April

After a busy and successful tour season, the BBC Department of Music is preparing for the April Spring Concert series.

The three-concert set begins Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Two more performances follow on Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Murphy Memorial Library in Jackson Hall, with its unique acoustic qualities, will be the venue for the concerts.

Reserved tickets are $5 each and are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Department of Music at 570.595.9295 or by online at www.bbc.edu/springconcert.


Powerful Performances
The Concert Chorale, the Chamber Singers, and One Accord will be performing a variety of sacred and classical pieces. Included among the numbers will be the works of
Assistant Professor David B. McGrew and BBC's own Composition Studio.

The 40-voice Concert Chorale, directed by Dr. Larry Kauffman , recently finished a New England tour over spring break.

Led by Dr. David Harris, the Chamber Singers just returned from a 17-day mission trip in South Africa. The select mixed ensemble of 16 voices travels each year over spring break in addition to the annual winter and spring concerts.
