Free basketball clinic featured at Big Blue Day

A 45-minute free basketball clinic will be offered after BBC Defenders and Lady Defenders games on Saturday, January 7, a special opportunity for students in Grades 2-8 to learn with members of the teams and Head Coaches Mike Show and Amber Jacobs.

Big Blue Day starts with the women's game at 1 p.m. and continues with the men's game at 3 p.m. Both contests are in the Phelps Student Center against Philadelphia Biblical University.

Pizza and soda will be available for those in the clinic and their families. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children age 5 and up. Children 4 and under and previous campers wearing their Big Blue T-shirts will be admitted free to the basketball games.

Summer Camps
BBC hosts five weeks of sports camps in basketball and soccer during the summer, including two Big Blue day camps for basketball and soccer.

Defender sports camps and Big Blue day camps give young athletes focused attention to improve athletic abilities in their sport. Residence camps allow students to spend a week living on campus while Big Blue camps teach sport fundamentals to local children up to eighth grade.

In both camps, students receive sound instruction and spiritual training as they spend time with veteran coaches and dedicated college athletes.

The 2012 schedule is:
Defender Basketball Camp: July 1-6
Lady Defender Basketball Camp: July 8-14
Big Blue Basketball Camp: July 16-20
Defender and Lady Defender Soccer Camp: August 5-10
Big Blue Soccer Camp: August 13-17
