Teacher Recruitment Fair brings students, schools together

Education majors readying for teaching careers will make valuable connections with school administrators in January at BBC's annual Teacher Recruitment Fair.

The Saturday, January 14 event enables schools to find committed, qualified teachers. BBC prepares top job candidates through excellence in biblical higher education, with 30 graduating seniors set to take part in the event.

BBC offers many undergraduate and graduate options in teacher education. Undergraduate majors include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Social Studies Education, Health and Physical Education, and Music Education.

A Master of Education degree, with six different concentrations, is also available.

Administrators can learn more and register to attend at www.bbc.edu/recruitment. For more details, contact Paula Best at 570.586.2400, extension 1444, or pbest@bbc.edu.

Meals and refreshments are included. The deadline to register is December 14.

Special Benefits
Schools gain special benefits by registering online ahead of the event.

BBC is providing each administrator attending the Teacher Recruitment Fair with four $1,000 grants they can offer to students who graduate from their school and attend BBC full time beginning in Fall 2012.

Administrators can offer the grant at their discretion. These one-time grants cannot be stacked, meaning each student can only receive a single $1,000 grant from the administrator.

"The Teacher Recruitment Fair provided us an incredible chance to look at schools from across the country and find ones that would fit us perfectly," 'said Matt and Jess Lockwood, teachers now in the Abington Heights School District in PA.

"It facilitated opportunities to interview, ask questions, and even receive potential job offers. As young teachers, this BBC event aided us in our job searches as we had the opportunity to conveniently meet with countless administrators in one place."
