Nominations for annual awards now open

Nominations are now open for three annual Baptist Bible College & Seminary awards.

The special awards will be presented October 8 during the Celebration on the Summit week of events.

Alumnus of the Year has been granted since 1967. The Outstanding Service Award was first given in 1984. BBC's Defender Athletics program established the Hall of Honor in 2006.

Last year's Alumnus of the Year was Chaplain James E. May III ('67, '80). Recipients of the Outstanding Service Awards were Dr. Don Whipple ('75, '83), Sherrie Holloway ('85), Michael Ryall ('79) and Kim Keisling Ryall ('79). Those inducted into the Athletics Hall of Honor were Chris Davis (coach, professor), Russ Howard (coach, pastor, administrator), and Dr. Dave Boehning (athlete, professor).

The Alumni Executive Council makes the final award selections. Members review all nominations. The deadline for nominations each year is May 31.
