Christmas tree lighting, concert part of holiday celebration

Tree Lighting
An annual holiday tradition at Baptist Bible College & Seminary was renewed with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held December 1 in the Jackson Hall rotunda.

The tree, a 12 foot Fraser Fir, came from Roba's Tree Farm in Dalton, PA. The tree and the rotunda were decorated by Bonnie and Abigail Peterson.

BBC&S President Jim Jeffery and his wife, Bert, hosted the event as they have for the past eight years. The celebration included carol singing and refreshments for those who attended.

Many areas of campus are decorated with lights, evergreens, and color. Offices in Jackson Hall add a festive flair with trees, lights, ribbons and garland. Garland with Christmas balls also hangs down through the center of the stairways in the building.

Outside, light posts are wrapped with garland with red ribbons and wreaths hang on the windows of the rotunda.

Upcoming Christmas events include special Winter Concerts on December 11 and 12. The concerts feature music and songs to highlight the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
