Winter Concert features special performances

Baptist Bible College students and faculty will perform at three special concerts in December, renewing a Christmas-season tradition in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The annual Winter Concert includes appearances by the BBC Chamber Singers, and BBC Concert Chorale, as well as faculty and student soloists, brass, and vocal ensembles.

The concerts will be in the Murphy Memorial Library on December 11 at 8 p.m. and December 12 at 3 p.m., and 8 p.m. A special dessert reception will be held one hour before each program in the Jackson Hall Rotunda.

Music includes Masterworks by Felix Mendelssohn and Hans Leo Hassler. Award-winning choral works by Ola Gjeilo, Stephen Main, and Jan Sandstrom will also be featured.

The special event also includes premier performances of works by David McGrew, Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition.

Dessert and concert tickets are $10. Discounted tickets at $5 each are available for students, alumni, parents, and employees.
