BBC&S boosts career services options through new partnership

Baptist Bible College & Seminary has partnered with a national career services company to provide a powerful new tool for students, alumni, and employers.

Through a special arrangement with New York-based College Central Network, the web-based system provides anytime access for job searches and job postings. Students, alumni, and employers have control over their profiles and information.

Employers can post positions and then search through students and alumni to find an employee that meets their needs. Students and alumni create profiles and can then search through national and exclusive postings.

Details and a link to the BBC&S/CCN site is available at www.bbc.edu/careers. The information is also accessible through the BBC&S Alumni website at www.bbc.edu/alumni.

The free BBC&S/CCN site provides:

- Career assistance. The site features hundreds of articles and videos to help with resume preparation, interviewing, and other general job searching topics.

- Local postings. Part-time and full-time positions posted by local employers exclusively to BBC&S are included. The service is being promoted to local employers and new ones are being added.

- National postings. The national job board has over 100,000 postings. New jobs are added daily, including entry-level jobs from nearly 150 newspapers.

- Portfolios. Students and alumni can also upload documents and sound files to create a personal portfolio.

CCN works with over 500 small to mid-sized colleges and universities, including Marywood University and Keystone College in Northeastern Pennsylvania and schools such as Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Cedarville University.
