Conference set to help young leaders break new ground

Identifying individual abilities, developing character, and building relationships are key components of the Growing Leaders Conference set for this fall at Baptist Bible College.

Carrying the theme "Respect the Past, Create the Future", the conference will be held November 12-14.

Learn more and register for the conference here.

The theme of the conference encourages students to lead well by breaking away from the traditional while still learning from the past. High School students, youth pastors and youth leaders are all invited to attend.

BBC has hosted the conference since 1998. It has become a way for faculty, staff and current students to get involved in the lives of future leaders and offer them their perspective and wisdom.

If you have questions about the conference contact Jonathan Strayer at 570.585.9311 or email growingleaders@bbc.edu.

Building student leadership
Those attending will have the opportunity to go to college chapel and classes. They will also enjoy interaction with BBC students and faculty through special events, including a banquet and the annual BBC Lip Sync.

Breakout sessions will allow students to discuss issues with students from other schools, regions, and backgrounds. They will offer a closer look at what each student needs to become stronger leaders in their churches and schools.

Student leadership at BBC is a vital aspect of campus life and is a key to developing and maintaining powerful ministries after graduation. The conference is an energy-filled time for current and future leaders to be refreshed by a new perspective on the future of youth ministry.

Dynamic main sessions and interactive workshops along with lots of time for fun and fellowship are highlights of the event. A summary schedule is below. For more details, go to www.bbc.edu/growingleaders.
