Sports camps build athletic skills, character

The growth of physical abilities and sportsmanship, as well as leadership skills and spiritual character, is the focus of several sports camps this summer at Baptist Bible College & Seminary.

The Big Blue and Defender camps continue a tradition of growing future leaders on and off the field of competition.

Camps feature qualified instruction, including BBC Defender Athletics coaches.

Big Blue camps offered for range of ages
Big Blue day camps are for area children through Grade 8. Players are grouped together by age.

Big Blue camps teach children the fundamentals of game play and interaction on a team while at the same time encouraging them to be active and healthy.

Defender camps prepare athletes for leadership and life
While taking part in intense daily training sessions, campers live on the Clarks Summit campus for the week. They experience an environment of community while that helps them focus on team play, fellowship with other players, and character building.

Defender camps are offered to players in Grades 9-12.

Daily camp activities include:
- Chapel
- Group instruction time
- Individual skill development
- Free throw shooting (basketball camps)
- Jerry West shooting (basketball camps)
- Team competitions
- 3-on-3 competitions (basketball camps)
- 8 vs. 8 and 11 vs. 11 competitions (soccer camps)
- Goalkeeper training (soccer camps)
- "Time Out" personal time in God's Word

Defender Soccer, Grades 9-12, August 2-7. Link to page.

Coaching School
Coaching School is offered to visiting basketball, volleyball, and soccer coaches. Instruction is given both on and off court or field.

Discussion and demonstration by BBC coaches and guest speakers is also included. The fee for coaches is $50. One coach may attend free for each eight players from the same school attending camp.
