BBC’s Pre-Seminary program provides you with the training you need to successfully continue your preparation for leadership at a graduate school or seminary.

Our goal is to provide you with an excellent educational foundation as you prepare for seminary-level work and your ultimate service in the church.

Core courses
The Pre-Seminary program integrates the Biblical and General Studies curriculum to prepare you for ministries requiring graduate-level degrees.

In addition to 42 credits of Bible and theology courses, 60 credits of General Studies are required. These are distributed over a wide range of academic disciplines to assure a proper and balanced program for seminary studies.

The core courses of this program include the following:

Theology
Biblical Languages
Biblical Studies
Ancient and Medieval Philosophies
Modern Western Philosophy
The Church’s Ministry
Expository Preaching
World Religions

Making the program your own
Twelve hours of electives allow you the opportunity to deepen and broaden your education according to your own interests. You can tailor your education to focus on a specific area or gain from a range of topics.

You will gain a working knowledge of the Bible and theology. You will be able to demonstrate an adequate mastery of biblical languages to meet the entrance requirements of most seminaries. In addition, you will be able to articulate a Christian worldview based on the integration of the Biblical and General Studies curriculum.

You will earn a Bachelor of Science with a major in Pre-Seminary. You will graduate having completed coursework equivalent to a double major in Bible and Pre-Seminary. You may elect to receive a B.S. in Bible instead.

After graduation
Upon completion of the Pre-Seminary program you will have gained the biblical and theological foundation needed to successfully take your education to the next step. You will be you well equipped for further academic study as you pursue God’s calling.
