Youth Pastor Program
 |
We understand that being an effective youth pastor takes more than a guitar and pat answers. Students need mentors who will invest in their lives and point them to God's Word. That's why we've created a program that focuses on the spiritual needs of young people–and how you, as a youth pastor, can best meet those needs.
The Youth Pastor program exists to prepare young men like you to be disciplers as well as teachers. We combine classroom learning and practical ministry opportunities to give you a balanced education. You will learn firsthand from professors who are experienced in ministering to the youth culture. Our many ministry options will provide immediate opportunities to get involved in the lives of junior and senior high school students.
This generation of youth needs biblical mentors and role models to help them become the next generation's godly leaders. You can prepare to be a part of this mission field in our Youth Pastor program. |

What Happens After Graduation?

You will be able to guide youth through the challenging teenage years and will become a leader they can respect and trust. The Youth Pastor program will prepare you to serve in a church as a Youth Pastor and in any other youth ministry capacity.
You will also be qualified to fill other pastoral or missions positions in a church or parachurch ministry, such as, teaching Bible or serving as a discipleship director in a Christian school. Your education in the Youth Pastor program also prepares you to pursue graduate or seminary-level education.
Mission agencies, such as Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), are seeking youth ministry professionals to be involved in a wide variety of international youth ministries, which include camping, sports, and recreational ministries.
Across our nation and around the world, there are young people from every culture and background seeking answers. Don't miss the chance to change lives by pointing them to Christ and the answers in God's Word.

Real People
"The classes taught me about the culture of the students I would be working with and challenged me to be relevant in my teaching and activities. The professors were available for one-on-one interaction, and I still have close friendships with many of them."

"BBC's Youth Pastor program is preparing me for the future by supplying me with practical, biblical knowledge to apply to my personal life and ministry. I appreciate that the faculty and staff are willing to take the time to encourage and mentor me as I prepare for a future ministry with youth."
